Happy Valentine's Day!

Petunias

Longing for Spring?  For me, painting flowers helps brighten the cold, gray days of winter while anxiously awaiting the budding of springtime.

Winter's Night

"Silent"

This original watercolor painting was incorporated into the advertising design for a watercolor class I instructed through the Metropolitan Library System recently. (Displayed in photo below) Great job by their graphic design department.

"Just Watercolors" Exhibit

"Just Watercolors" Exhibit is currently on display in the front atrium at Edmond Library 10 S. Blvd., Edmond, OK throughout November.  These are some of my smaller, affordable works of original art. Great for Corporate and residential decorating.   Perfect for unique holiday gift giving.  Please stop by and check it out!  For purchasing and/or commission work, please contact me at jimpourtorkan@gmail.com

Color Me Fall

Leaves of Change

For me, fall is not only about the beautiful changing colors of the leaves but of the crystal clear light that reflects on them.  There is no better time of the year to take in nature's beauty and capture it in a watercolor painting.

Sunset Landscape Watercolor Painting

"Secluded"

This watercolor painting was inspired from our vacation through Montana.  While hiking, we came upon this serene secluded river just before sunset.  Magical moments!

New this week!

"Fiery Run"

Horses are one of my favorite subjects to paint!  This original watercolor painting measures 11" x 15".  It would mat and frame nicely to 16" x 20" or larger.  Protected in a clear archival bag. Colors may vary slightly due to individual monitor calibrations. Packaged and shipped in a rigid mailer. The copyright watermark will not appear on the painting.

Goldie

This sad "puppy face" was just begging for me to paint him!

9" x 12" (unframed)

Watermark removed before shipment.
